Kleanslate Films is an award-winning production company based in Canterbury, New Zealand. We create powerful narratives that resonate with audiences both locally and globally.


Our breakout short film, The Outsider, was selected for the Toronto Independent Film Festival in 2021. This was followed by On the Edge of Hope, which won multiple international awards and was acquired by Amazon Prime—a milestone for independent New Zealand cinema.

SUKHVIR PARMAR

Sukhvir Parmar is a New Zealand-based filmmaker and the founder of Kleanslate Films.


Originally from Punjab, India, he brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to his work, focusing on stories with emotional depth and human connection.


His films—including The Outsider, On the Edge of Hope, and Father and Sons—have received international acclaim. On the Edge of Hope was acquired by Amazon Prime and many more streaming platforms worldwide, and Father and Sons was praised for its powerful message about family, reconciliation, and values.

Corran Lindsay is a talented screenwriter and collaborator who has co-written all films produced by Kleanslate Films. His storytelling expertise and creative partnership have been integral in shaping the narratives of The Outsider, On the Edge of Hope, and Father and Sons.


DAVID DUCKWORTH

CINEMATOGRAPHER AND COLOURIST


David Duckworth is the cinematographer and colorist behind all Kleanslate Films projects. With a strong visual instinct and attention to detail, David brings each story to life through striking imagery and rich, emotional tones. His work on The Outsider, On the Edge of Hope, and Father and Sons has been vital in shaping the visual identity of Kleanslate’s films.
